NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A Bronx man was fatally shot in the head during an apparent mugging outside of his home early Tuesday, according to police.
Just before 3 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call of a person shot at East 176th Street and Mohegan Ave. in Crotona Park East.
Upon arrival, officers observed 28-year-old Idriss Cherifelfarissy with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS pronounce Cherifelfarissy dead on the scene.
Cherifelfarissy was coming home from a shift as a Papa John's delivery driver when he was shot during an apparent mugging, the New York Post reported.
There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
