NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — One man was killed and a teenager was hospitalized after the two engaged in a gunfight on a Manhattan street early Tuesday, officials said.
Just after 1 a.m., officers responded to a call for a man shot on East 126th Street, between Park and Lexington avenues in East Harlem.

Upon arrival, police discovered a 21-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his left and right armpit areas.
The victim was rushed by EMS to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead, officials said.
He was later identified by police as Tyquan Hardnett, a Harlem resident.
According to authorities, a gun was recovered at the scene.
Officials received another call less than 30 minutes later, for another man shot a few blocks away on East 124th Street and the corner of Madison Avenue.
Police discovered a 19-year-old man who had suffered a gunshot wound to his groin and right shoulder.
EMS transported him to an area hospital in stable condition.
The teen was considered to be in police custody at the hospital, officials said.
After a preliminary investigation, police determined the two men were engaged in a shootout with each other in front of the East 126th Street location.
