NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Authorities launched an investigation after a man's body was found floating in the water in Brooklyn Tuesday morning.
At approximately 10:49 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a person in the water of the Paerdegat Basin in the vicinity of E 80th Street and Seaview Avenue in Canarsie, officials said.
EMS pronounced the man dead on the scene.
There were no visible signs of trauma.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
An investigation remains ongoing at this time.
