NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was found dead and stuffed in a garbage bag at a Queens home on Tuesday evening, police said.

The 55-year-old man was found unresponsive around 5 p.m. during a wellness check inside an apartment at 137-17 70th Ave. in Kew Gardens Hills.

His remains were inside a garbage bag, which was underneath a bed at the home, police said.

EMS pronounced him dead at the scene and hasn't yet been publicly identified.

The medical examiner is determining his cause of death.

A man and a woman who live there were taken to a police precinct for questioning, but no arrests had been reported Wednesday.

A young mother who lives next door said the victim was a maintenance man.

"A nice big guy," she said. "To think somebody did that and he's in a bag in pieces is just freaky. I don't know who managed to do that. This whole thing is crazy to me."
