NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A passerby found a man's body lying next to a hacksaw in Central Park on Monday — and his death is being investigated as a suicide, the NYPD said.
The 41-year-old man was found dead near Central Park's Glade Arch, on the east side of the park at East 77th Street, around 10 a.m. on Monday, police said.
The man had a wound to his neck, and investigators believe he may have died by suicide, the NYPD said.
The Daily News reported that the man was a resident at the Manhattan Psychiatric Center in Harlem.
The city's Medical Examiner will determine how he died. An investigation is ongoing.
