NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A person of interest was taken into custody after a man was found fatally shot in the Bronx early Wednesday, authorities said.
At approximately 12:25 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a man shot at 251 East Tremont Ave. in Mount Hope.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head.
EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
The investigation is ongoing.
