NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver that fatally struck a man trying to get into his parked car Friday morning in Brooklyn.
According to officials, at about 6 a.m., the vehicle, a gray four-door sedan, struck a 57-year-old man on Wortman Avenue in East New York.
The driver continued traveling eastbound on Wortman Avenue.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not released by police.
An investigation is ongoing.
