NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man jumped to his death from an Upper East Side apartment building early Wednesday, police said.

The man, whose identity has not been released, leaped from the top of a five-floor building on Second Avenue near East 88th Street around 4:50 a.m., authorities said.

Emergency responders rushed the man to Weill Cornell Medical Center in cardiac arrest, where he was later pronounced dead.

The building has apartments on the top and two businesses—a coffee shop and an ice cream shop—on the bottom.

The incident comes just a day after a 49-year-old man jumped to his death from the 12th floor balcony of a ritzy apartment building overlooking Central Park.
