NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Two customers were wounded when a man who was kicked out of a Bronx bar returned with a gun and opened fire overnight, police said Sunday.

The gunman was still on the loose Sunday after the shooting at the Sangria Botanica Bar on Jerome Avenue, near Marcy Place, in the Mt. Eden section.


Police said the man was kicked out of the bar earlier in the night before he came back around 4 a.m. and started firing.

Two customers were struck by bullets in the gunfire, police said.

The victims, a 32-year-old woman and 31-year-old man, were taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition with gunshot wounds to their arms.
