Man killed, woman wounded in suspected murder-suicide attempt in Manhattan

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was killed and a woman wounded in an apparent murder-suicide attempt in Manhattan early Thursday.

The man and woman were found shot around 12:10 a.m. at 125 West 228th St., a public housing high-rise in Marble Hill.

The 41-year-old man had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 43-year-old woman was shot in the torso and transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

Their relationship wasn’t immediately known, but sources described the shooting as “domestic in nature.”

The man hasn’t yet been identified.
