Man punched aboard 2 train in anti-gay attack: police

NEW YORK -- Police are trying to find a man they say made homophobic comments and assaulted a man on a subway last week.

Police said on Thursday just after 2 p.m., a 45-year-old man was approached aboard a 2 train by a man who hurled anti-gay statements at him and punched him multiple times in the face.


The man accused in the attack fled at the 135th Street station. Police released photos and video of the person they're looking for:

The victim suffered a laceration to the face and was brought to a hospital for treatment.
