Duo punches man in face, takes off with wallet in Queens subway: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was punched in the face and robbed in the middle of the afternoon at a subway station in Queens last week, police said.

The NYPD released surveillance images of two suspects Sunday after an attack at the Sutphin Boulevard station in Jamaica on Wednesday.


The 29-year-old victim was on the southbound F-line platform at 3:45 p.m. when he was approached by the duo, who punched him in the face, police said.

The pair fled with the victim's wallet, which contained $1,600, according to police.

The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.

The suspects were last seen fleeing northbound on 144th Street toward 87th Road, police said.
