NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for four people wanted for robbing a man while he was waiting on a subway platform in the West Village last week.

The robbery occurred on May 3 around 11:30 p.m. while the 27-year-old victim was waiting on the F train platform at the West 4th Street station, authorities said.
Four men approached the victim and punched him multiple times in the face causing him to fall. While he was on the ground, the men took the victim’s cell phone and wallet from his pants pockets, cops said.

The four suspects fled the scene toward the northbound F train platform while the victim suffered a laceration to his head. He refused medical attention at the scene, officials said.
All four suspects are described as having dark skin approximately in their 20's.
