NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A man who allegedly struck a woman and made anti-Asian statements toward her in Queens is being sought by police over a week after the attack.
On Aug. 27, just before 7 a.m., police said a man hit a 56-year-old woman in the back of the head with a plastic bottle and punched her in the face.
The incident unfolded at 37-53 75th Street in Jackson Heights, police said.
According to police, the person ripped a chain off the woman's neck, made anti-Asian comments and fled down 37th Road.
The NYPD confirmed its Hate Crimes Unit is investigating the incident.

Police described the person they're seeking in the incident as a dark-skinned man wearing a dark shirt, black shorts and black sneakers.
