NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A man was randomly slashed in the face while at a kiosk inside a Manhattan subway station early Monday, authorities said.
According to police, at about 12:30 a.m., the victim was buying a MetroCard in the mezzanine of the 47th–50th Streets–Rockefeller Center station when he was slashed in an unprovoked attack.
The suspect fled the station in an unknown direction.
The victim was treated on the scene by EMS.
No arrests have been made and an investigation remains ongoing.
