NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police launched an investigation after a 25-year-old man was shot by a man on a motorized bike in Harlem early Wednesday.
According to police, at around 12:40 a.m., the victim was on Frederick Douglass Boulevard and West 127th Street when he got into a dispute with someone whom investigators believe he knows.
The argument escalated and the suspect opened fire, striking him in the back, chest, and once in the stomach, officials said.
The gunman fled the scene on the motorized bike, the NYPD said.
The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital, in critical condition, but he has since been stabilized, authorities said.
Sources told the New York Post the suspect was last seen wearing a mask, neon-colored shirt, and backward baseball cap.
