NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released a photo on Tuesday of a man searching for a suspect accused of repeatedly slashing a 31-year-old man in the face during an early-morning altercation on the Lower East Side last month.
The attack occurred at approximately 4:35 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20, outside 131 Chrystie St., authorities said.
According to officials, the suspect approached the victim and engaged him in a verbal dispute, which escalated into a physical fight.
The suspect then produced a sharp object and slashed the victim multiple times across the face.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was listed in stable condition.
The suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction and remains at large.
