NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man picked a fight with a subway rider and then repeatedly stabbed him on a Midtown Manhattan train before fleeing at the Port Authority Bus Terminal stop, police said Wednesday.
Newly released photos from the NYPD show the suspect in last Thursday's rush-hour stabbing on a northbound E train.
The 28-year-old victim was riding the train at 6:40 p.m. when his attacker started an argument with him, it's unclear about what, police said.
During the quarrel, the suspect stabbed the victim multiple times in his torso, abdomen and thighs before fleeing at the 42nd Street–Port Authority Bus Terminal station.
The victim wasn't immediately hospitalized but later went to Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus, where he was listed in stable condition.
