NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released a video Tuesday of an armed suspect sought in connection to a gunpoint robbery outside of a Brooklyn auto repair garage last week.
The incident happened just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21, as the 56-year-old man was standing outside of an auto repair shop located at 30 Bartlett Street in Williamsburg, authorities said.
According to police, an unidentified man approached the victim, produced a handgun, and told him not to run.
The victim fled inside the garage, where he fell and the suspect forcibly removed the victim’s necklace and Buddha pendant and discharged a round from the handgun, officials said.
The necklace and pendant was valued at $50,000, the NYPD said.
The victim suffered pain to his right leg and left hand, however, he refused medical attention.

Police also released a photo of the suspect after the incident as a passenger on a scooter in the vicinity of Graham Avenue and Moore Street.
