NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police released a photo on Thursday of a man accused of beating and robbing a teen girl on a Queens street last week.
At approximately 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, a 17-year-old girl was walking in front of 112-23 Roosevelt Ave. in Corona, when the suspect approached her from behind and forcibly took her cell phone from her hands, authorities said.
When the victim tried to take her phone back, the suspect punched her in the face several times, causing minor injuries.
The suspect, who was last seen wearing a multicolored backpack, then dropped the phone and fled the scene to parts unknown.
