NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man is in critical condition after he was struck by a subway train on the Upper West Side early Tuesday morning, authorities said.
EMS responded to a 911 report of a person struck by a train on the downtown platform at 72nd Street station near Central Park at about 2:35 a.m.
According to police, the man was struck by the train while running on the tracks.
He was transported to St. Luke's Hospital.
No criminality is suspected, the NYPD said.
