Man shot 2x by armed suspects for refusing to hand over fanny pack during Bronx attempted robbery

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A man was shot in both an arm and a leg when he declined to give his fanny pack to a group of armed robbers in the Bronx on Friday, and police are seeking four suspects.

A 34-year-old man was entering 3310 Third Ave., near East 164th Street in the Morrisania section of the Bronx, when he was approached by two unknown women and two unknown men.

Acting together, the male suspects yanked the victim out of the building doorway and threw him to the ground, police said.

The duo pulled out guns as they fought with the 34-year-old for his fanny pack. Officials said that a gun was fired, and the victim was hit in the left leg and left arm.

He refused to give his property to the suspects, who then fled northbound on Third Avenue in an unknown direction, police said.

EMS transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
