NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was hospitalized after he was shot in the stomach during a dispute in Brooklyn Monday night, according to police.
At around 6:30 p.m., the 31-year-old man was shot in the stomach by an unidentified man during a dispute that occurred on Malcolm X Boulevard and Lafayette Avenue in Bedford Stuyvesant.
Officials said the victim was able to walk about 15 minutes before he collapsed near the Flushing Avenue subway station.
Witnesses told WABC-7 that the victim possibly rode the J train to the Flushing Avenue train station where he collapsed.
The shooting victim was taken to Woodhull Hospital in stable condition.
An investigation is ongoing.
