Man shot, killed outside Brooklyn NYCHA housing complex

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is investigating the death of a man found shot outside a Brooklyn NYCHA housing complex on Tuesday, authorities said.

At approximately 11:14 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at the Brownsville Houses located at 284 Sutter Ave.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 37-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the torso.

EMS transported the man to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.

The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
