
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — The NYPD launched an investigation after a man was shot while waiting at a bus stop in Brooklyn Thursday night.
According to officials, at about 11:20 p.m. the 42-year-old man was in front of 170 Buffalo St. in Crown Heights when he heard gunfire and realized he had been struck in the lower left leg.
The man called a friend to take him to an area hospital where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries.
It is unclear if the victim was the intended target.
So far, no arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
