NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man accused of shoving a man to the ground then slashing him on a Bronx street during a dispute over ice cream.
The attack happened Monday at the northwest corner of Middletown Road and Bruckner Boulevard in Pelham Bay.
Police said two men were arguing over a "payment for ice cream" when the man hawking the ice cream began punching the victim.
The victim fell to the ground, and the attacker pulled out a knife and slashed him on the back of the head, police said.
The suspect fled on foot, northbound on Bruckner Boulevard.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black Nike hat, blue t-shirt, blue sweatpants and white sneakers.
