NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man sitting on a street corner in Manhattan was attacked by three men, who beat and stabbed him on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The 39-year-old victim was sitting on a folding chair at W. 33rd Street and Broadway in midtown around 12:15 p.m. when he was approached by the three men, according to police.
One of the men hit him with a baseball bat repeatedly while a second man struck him with a chair, police said.
A third man used a sharp object to stab the victim in the back, according to police.
The victim suffered bruising and cuts to his body, police said. EMS took him to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
The NYPD released surveillance images Wednesday showing the three suspects.
It wasn't immediately clear if the victim and his attackers were known to each other.
