NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Authorities are investigating after a man was slashed in the face while aboard an Upper Manhattan subway train Monday evening.
It happened at about 7 p.m. on the 1 train at the Dyckman Street station in Inwood, officials said.
According to police, the victim was cut in the face with an unknown object. He was taken to New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
The attacker was last seen fleeing on foot.
It is unclear what led up o the slashing and there have been no arrests made.
An investigation remains ongoing.
