NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police are searching for a man accused of slashing another man in the neck during a midday attack in Kips Bay last week.

It happened at approximately 1:34 p.m. on Friday, July 26, at the southeast corner of East 28th Street and First Avenue, cops said.


According to officials, a 55-year-old man was involved in a verbal dispute with the suspect that turned physical.

A 23-year-old man intervened to end the physical dispute.

The suspect fled on foot but later returned and slashed the 23-year-old male on the neck, authorities said.

The suspect fled the location on foot to parts unknown.
