NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man seen on surveillance video is responsible for stealing jewelry from a Staten Island store worth over $25,000, police said.
The NYPD released footage in hopes of identifying the man who visited Frank Anson Jewelers at 49 New Drop Plaza on Aug. 11.
Police said the man asked to look at rings that were located inside the store's counter, but once they were brought out, he grabbed them and ran away.
Police said the jewelry is valued at about $26,074.
The person police are looking for is a light-skinned man, aged 45-50 with a medium complexion who was last seen wearing a gray golf shirt, blue jeans, a cross body bag and eyeglasses.
