NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released surveillance footage Thursday of a man wanted for back-to-back violent attacks on two women on the Upper West Side earlier this week.
The attacks happened at approximately 8:23 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3. The first incident took place when a 31-year-old woman was walking near West 60th Street and Amsterdam Avenue. According to police, the suspect approached her and punched her in the face with a closed fist, causing her to fall to the ground.
Only one minute later, at 8:24 p.m., the same suspect targeted a second victim just a short distance away. Police say he approached a 27-year-old woman and punched her in the face, causing a laceration to her nose.
The suspect then fled the scene on foot, traveling eastbound on West 60th Street.
The 31-year-old victim suffered minor injuries but was not hospitalized. The 27-year-old was treated on the scene for her injuries.
