NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man wanted in connection to a string of burglaries that occurred at several Queens businesses.
According to officials, the suspect is linked to at least seven incidents, with the latest one occurring on January 11, inside a restaurant located at 59-10 Main Street in Flushing.
An employee returned to work and contacted police after discovering damage to the front door, authorities said.
Officers determined that at approximately 12:40 a.m. the suspect forced open the secured front door of the closed establishment and removed approximately $80 from the register.
Two days earlier, on January 9, an employee at a cell phone store located at 135-37 40 Road returned to work and discovered damage to the front door and contacted police.
Investigators determined at approximately 8 p.m., the wanted man forced open the secured front door of the closed establishment and took approximately $2,600 of cash and electronics.
Police also allege that the same man targeted three businesses within two hours.
The first incident was reported on December 12, 2020, inside a Starbucks at 41-02 Main Street in Flushing.
According to officials, an employee contacted police after returning to work and discovering property missing.
Officials determined that at approximately 4 a.m. that day a man forced opened the secured front door of the closed establishment and removed approximately $1,200 from the register.
The same day, an employee returning to work discovered damage to the front door of a daycare located at 132-06 Maple Avenue and contacted police.
Investigators determined that on that same day at approximately 4:30 a.m., the suspect searched but did not remove any property of value.
An employee returning to work on the same day at a restaurant located at 40-09 Prince Street discovered property missing and contacted police.
Officials determined that the suspect forced open the secured front door of the closed establishment at 5:30 a.m., taking approximately $1,000 of cash and electronics.
The individual then fled on foot to parts unknown in all incidents.
He is described as a man about 20-30 years of age.
