NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who allegedly spat in another man's face while hurling anti-Asian remarks on a sidewalk in Chelsea.
The 30-year-old victim was standing in front of a building on West 29th Street, between Sixth and Seventh avenues, around 12:40 p.m. on June 14 when the man approached him, spit in his face and made anti-Asian statements, the NYPD said Tuesday.

The man fled the scene after spitting on the victim, police said.
He appeared to be in his 30s and was last seen carrying a dark blue and yellow backpack and wearing a blue T-shirt, a long-sleeved grey shirt, black pants, blue and white sneakers and a blue du-rag, according to police.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
