NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating after a 33-year-old woman who was walking her dog in lower Manhattan was spat at by a man who also hurled anti-Asian slurs at her, officials said.
The man called her a “f*****g c***k, and spat in her direction, at approximately 8 p.m. on Wednesday a few blocks from Chinatown at 12 Spring Street, according to police.
When the woman asked the man why he did that, he responded, “Stupid c***k b***h,” then told her to “go back to your country,” authorities said.
The NYPD said it would increase its presence in the city’s Asian American communities as crimes against Asian-Americans have surged nationwide.
