NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was repeatedly stabbed, possibly with an ice pick, at a supportive housing location in the East Village early Friday morning, police said.

Two men, ages 42 and 36, got into an argument at 538 E. 6th St. around 12:30 a.m.

During the dispute, the 42-year-old was stabbed twice in the torso and twice in the leg by the other man, police said.

The weapon used is believed to be an ice pick.

Both men reside at the address, where housing options are provided for people with mental illness.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Beth Israel and is expected to survive.

The suspect fled the area and was last seen heading westbound on E. 6th Street, police said.
