NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a man accused of stabbing someone inside a pawn shop after asking for money Thursday evening in Queens.
At approximately 5 p.m., a 22-year-old victim was approached by a man inside of Gem Pawnbrokers located at 216-15 Jamaica Ave. in Queens Village.
According to officials, the suspect asked the victim for money, and he refused.
The suspect followed the victim outside and proceeded to stab him in the left hand and the back of the neck with a knife, causing severe lacerations.
He then fled the location to parts unknown.
EMS transported the victim to North Shore University Hospital in stable condition.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black coat, blue hooded sweatshirt with red/white "Polo" writing on the front, dark colored pants, and black shoes.
