NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Police on Friday released footage of a man accused of stabbing another man on the Lower East Side last week, authorities said.
It happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, a 26-year-old man was in the vicinity of Eldridge and Broome streets when the suspect approached him and started a verbal dispute.
A physical altercation ensued, and the suspect stabbed the victim once in the chest and slashed him once in the arm with an unknown object, officials said.
The suspect then fled the location on foot eastbound on Broome Street.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue for minor injuries.
The suspect was last seen wearing a red jacket, tan pants, black sneakers and had a white bag attached to his thigh.
