NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was hospitalized after he was stabbed and slashed on a street in Queens on Friday morning, police said.
The 24-year-old victim was on Roosevelt Avenue, near 69th Street, in Woodside around 5:40 a.m. when he was approached by another man.
Police said the man took out a knife and slashed the victim in the hand before stabbing him in the chest.
The attacker then took off on foot, according to police, who said he didn't steal anything from the victim.
The victim was taken to an area hospital by private means. He is expected to survive, police said.
The NYPD released a surveillance image of a suspect on Saturday.
