NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A verbal dispute turned violent when a 42-year-old man was stabbed and slashed in Brooklyn earlier this month, and police released images of the suspect on Friday to help in the ongoing investigation.
It happened at about 3:30 a.m. on June 9 in Sunset Park. The victim was at 41st Street and Fifth Avenue when police said a stranger approached and started a fight.
While the dispute was verbal at first, a physical altercation ensued, and the suspect pulled out a knife. He stabbed the 42-year-old in the right arm and slashed him in the back of the neck before running off eastbound on 44th Street toward Sixth Avenue.
The victim was taken to NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn in stable condition.
