NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are looking for the man who stole $800 from a Manhattan Subway restaurant early Saturday morning.
The suspect entered the Subway on 7th Avenue near 23rd Street around 3 a.m. demanding all the money from the restaurant's tip jar, police said.
An employee handed over $1 and the thief left the store angrily — only to return to demand more money, cops said.
Eventually, the man jumped over the counter and threatened to shoot an employee unless they opened the register, though no gun was displayed.
The thief made off with about $800 and fled on foot.
Surveillance footage released by the NYPD shows a suspect wearing a grey "I love NY" sweatshirt, light blue jeans, black sneakers and a black face mask.
