Man asks to borrow victim's cellphone on BK street, transfers himself money on Cash App

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who used a victim’s cell phone to transfer himself money through Cash App earlier this month.

The incident happened on Jan. 8 around 11:15 a.m. in front of 600 Bushwick Avenue in Bushwick Avenue, cops said.

After the suspect asked the 30-year-old victim to borrow his cellphone, he used the victim’s bank and cash app to transfer himself money, according to officials.

The man then fled the scene with the victim’s phone. Cops did not say how much money was transferred.
