NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man tried to rape a woman in the stairwell of her Bronx apartment building on Friday evening, police said Sunday as they released new surveillance video of a suspect.
The 33-year-old woman was walking up a stairwell at her apartment building in the Fordham Manor section around 7 p.m. when a man grabbed her from behind and tried to rape her, police said.

As the man was unzipping his pants, the woman bit his right hand, according to police, who said the man then ran away.
The woman was not physically injured, police said. She was taken to North Central Bronx Hospital for evaluation.
The NYPD said the suspect is believed to be in his 20s.
