NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was struck and critically injured by a hit-and-run driver as he removed items from his parked car in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, police said.
The 57-year-old was hit by a black sedan around 10 p.m. in East Flatbush, police told PIX11.
A passing driver struck the man near Avenue D and E. 38th Street before fleeing the scene, according to the report.
Police told WABC that the man suffered head trauma and a broken leg. He was hospitalized in critical condition.
The NYPD continued to search for the hit-and-run driver on Thursday.
