NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released surveillance footage on Monday of a man wanted in connection with the assault and strangulation of a child in Brooklyn.
According to police, at approximately 6:26 p.m. on Monday, May 11, the suspect approached three children—a 5-year-old girl, a 7-year-old boy, and a 12-year-old boy inside Bush-Clinton Park in Red Hook.
The suspect knocked the 5-year-old and 12-year-old to the ground before placing his hands around the 7-year-old boy's neck and choking him, officials said. The assault caused bruising and pain to the child's neck.
The suspect fled the park on foot immediately after the attack. EMS responded to the scene and treated the three children.
