NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released a suspect sketch Friday of a man wanted for choking a woman unconscious in broad daylight inside Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

The 31-year-old victim was inside the park—near 111th Street and 48th Avenue—around 8:50 a.m. last Friday when she was attacked by the man.

He approached her and "began making statements the victim did not understand,” police said.

He then threw a plastic water bottle at her and placed his arm around her neck until she lost consciousness, according to police.

The victim regained consciousness a short time later. EMS responded and transported her to New York-Presbyterian Queens in stable condition.

The suspect fled the park on foot and hasn’t been seen since. He was wearing a brown shirt and brown shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
