NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police released media on Wednesday depicting a man suspected of stealing nearly $6,000 from stores in the Bronx, including two hits at the same bodega.

The first of five robberies occurred on Feb. 10 and was the most lucrative of the stick-ups, with the suspect stealing $4,000.

The most recent robbery happened last week on April 3.

In most of the incidents, police said that a single robber enters a south Bronx establishment, displays a black firearm, demands cash and runs off with whatever he can get.

The only deviation from this pattern was in the third incident, which occurred at 11:25 a.m. on March 31 at 790 East 152nd St.

During this robbery, the suspect was joined by a partner, and one of them displayed a black firearm while the other pepper sprayed a 31-year-old male victim.

The duo then snatched $400 from inside the register before fleeing on foot.

The victim was taken to an area hospital in stable condition by EMS, and this was the only robbery in which an injury was reported.

This was the second time that bodega was robbed, with the first incident happening six days earlier on March 25. During that robbery, a singular man followed the robbery pattern and made off with $600.

Media released by police shows the suspect wearing all black, a hoodie and a mask.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
