NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Monday night arrested a man at Port Authority Bus Terminal who is wanted for having allegedly assaulted and critically injuring his 2-month-old baby in Massachusetts, sources told the New York Post.
Law enforcement sources told the outlet that 28-year-old Avery Pollock was taken into custody at the bus terminal by Port Authority police and the FBI as he was waiting to board another bus to Houston, Texas.
Pittsfield police in Massachusetts alerted the FBI that Pollock had taken a Greyhound bus to New York City following the assault.
An arrest warrant had been issued for Pollock for assault and battery on a child by Pittsfield police.
The baby was listed in critical condition after suffering brain injuries from the assault.
Pollock was awaiting extradition to Massachusetts where he will face charges.
