NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man wanted for multiple gunpoint robberies across Upper Manhattan is now suspected of critically injuring a teen boy by stabbing him in the neck on an East Harlem street, police said Tuesday.
The NYPD released an image of the suspect, Donovan Dixon, who they said is "known to the department" and wanted in a string of armed robberies out of the 23rd, 25th and 28th precincts, which cover Harlem and East Harlem.
He's also the prime suspect in an attack on a 16-year-old boy on East 116th Street, just west of Park Avenue, in East Harlem on Sept. 28.
Dixon and the boy were in some sort of dispute on the street at 6:20 p.m. when Dixon plunged a sharp object into his shoulder and neck, police said.
The victim suffered a large puncture wound and was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
