NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two people were charged Friday with a Staten Island home invasion robbery that left a man dead late last year, police said.
Kaitlin Reuter, 35, and Nathaniel Morton, 40, both of Staten Island, were both charged with murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon for the Dec. 16 killing of Tamer Shaaraway, 38.
Police said at 1:30 a.m. on that day, the two suspects entered the Hinton Street home in Arden Heights and shot Shaaraway in his shoulder during the home invasion.
According to the New York Post, the suspects also took a chain from Shaaraway as he died.
Officers responded to the scene of the incident, and EMS transported him to Staten Island University South Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Both Reuter and Morton have multiple prior arrests. More information surrounding why the suspects allegedly robbed their victim wasn't immediately clear.
The victim's social media showed that he was a father of two and a devoted bodybuilder.
