NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was shot and wounded at a NYCHA housing complex in Queens on Wednesday night—violence that comes on the heels of two deadly shootings at the complex in less than two weeks.
The 32-year-old victim was shot as he sat on 49th Street at the Woodside Houses in Woodside around 11:45 p.m., police told the New York Post.
The man was hit in the back in what police believe was an attempted robbery, according to the report.
He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

The shooting came less than two days after a 29-year-old man was shot and killed on a street bordering the housing complex on Tuesday afternoon.
And on the night of March 12, a 37-year-old woman was shot and killed a block away from where the 29-year-old man was shot. Police said she was a bystander who was hit by crossfire.
